A San Francisco classic. The inside is spacious with seating on the ground floor, upstairs, and outside. My usual orders are the Caesar Salad and the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl but this time I also had the Crab Melt which was a 10/10. A lot of people say Boudin is overrated but I think it's worth the hype. It's the perfect place for tourists to visit or for locals to grab lunch. It's at a good location by Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. There's a bar upstairs and a Peet's coffee downstairs. They also sell different bread and other items.

It was really delicious food but INSANE busy on the weekends. Even given that, the line moved pretty fast for how many people were there! I just got a salad but it was still delicious and some croissants in the morning. Hard to not enjoy a chocolate croissant!

This is what a five-star restaurant is. First off, the place is beautiful and aside from the rather gruff person who greeted us downstairs, the service was really first class. You've got to love a place that makes some of the best sour dough bread, drop off fresh bread at your table right away. The clam chowder in a bowl of sour dough bread is divine. You could taste the ocean in each bite and there was an ample amount of clams and perfectly cooked pieces of potatoes. The soup was creamy but not too thick. All four of us loved the food. Would absolutely consider going back again when we visit the waterfront in San Francisco. Great Job!!!

Came here with an out of town guest while we were doing the touristy things down at the wharf. She was told she *had* to stop here, so I indulged her and actually enjoyed our lunch. She, of course, had the clam chowder and I had the half sandwich with a cup of chowder. I noticed this Boudin charged more than other Boudins around the city, but I guess we paid for the location and the experience of watching them shape the bread through the window. Nice stop for some warm chowder on a cold day!
